Dear Resellers,
We are writing to inform you about an important upcoming change to the Admin account creation process for Google Workspace. This change is designed to enhance data security and simplify the setup experience for your clients.
Effective March 5th, 2024, we will be transitioning to a link-based verification process. This means that after a successful Google Workspace purchase, the order will remain inactive until the client completes a new Admin setup form.
Key changes:
- Password field removed: The Admin setup form no longer requires clients to set a password during account creation.
- Link-based verification: Clients will receive an email containing a unique link on their alternate email upon completing the setup form.
Clicking this link will redirect them to a secure Google page where they can:
- Set a password for their admin account.
- Agree to Google's Terms of Service.
Please remove the password field from your existing storefront integrations. Passing the password parameter will still be processed but ignored. Clients will still receive the link-based verification email.
